Milos and the Pursuit of the Greek God Body

Athens to the Islands- how did we stay fit?

Milos is a small island in Greece where we found 1 gym on Google but it was too far from our hotel. The gym is called AK Gym but we can't give you prices or if they allow drop ins. Sorry, guys.
In Milos we took the approach of simply being active all day. Muscle is built by progressive overload, but you can still burn calories by being active all day. Being in a calorie deficit leads to you being ripped. Not muscle building, but staying lean.
We swam for about 1.5 hours at Sarakiniko Beach.
Throughout the day I (Bain) "greased the groove." This is a calisthenics idea where you do a movement you'd like to improve throughout the day. For example, if you'd like to get better at pullups, you'd do as many good repetitions as possible, not to failure, throughout the day. I wanted to work on handstand pushups so whenever I wanted a break or had a pause in the day, I completed 3 to 6 handstand pushups about 8 times throughout the day.
Greasing the groove works extremely well in building strength around a particular movement.
